I had the pleasure of walking my 5th Hollywood premiere Red Carpet! This time it was for the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 premiere, only this time, unlike the last four, it was held at the iconic Dolby Theater, yes, the same place that the Oscars are held every year. It was so different than my previous experiences. Let me walk you through it….
We arrived on Hollywood Boulevard and waited in line to go through the will call area. There are tons of people everywhere hoping to get a glimpse of the stars. You hear people yelling, screaming and cheering as they spot the celebrities. It’s all very exciting and a bit overwhelming still, for this normal Mom from Maryland. While waiting in line we receive out press pass that allows us access to the carpet and the movie.
Then it was on to the red carpet, only, in this case, the carpet was purple! Yes! So fitting for the Guardians of the Galaxy.
There were also planets hanging above, posters of the cast and stars everywhere.
In this picture are two of my favorite people Julee from Mommy’s Memorandum and Kristin from It’s Free At Last.
Once you are on the red carpet you have to move along quickly because there are tons of security people everywhere making sure you move along as quickly as possible. Because of this fact you have to snap your photo’s quickly and this is where I tend to freeze, I feel like a little kid getting yelled at so I move along like I am told because my anxiety kicks in.
I did manage to grab a few shots of the stars being interviewed, mostly the back of them but hey, it’s them and I was right there behind them. I got Kurt Russell and Goldie, Zoe Saldana, Elizabeth Debicki and Star-Lord himself Chris Pratt and his gorgeous wife Anna Faris. I also ended up in some videos as the stars were being interviewed.

Finally, at 0:40 in the clip you can see me in the background of Chris Pratt and Anna Faris as they were being interviewed.
So exciting!
As you make your way off the carpet, you head up the iconic Oscar Stairs, where we would normally take a group photo and into the theater. The Dolby is gorgeous by the way! We found our seats, second-row center and from here saw many of the stars including Goldie Hawn, Anna Faris, Dave Bautista and Chris Sullivan aka Toby from This is Us. He is in the movie but I will let you figure out which character he is when you see it May 5th.
Before the movie started James Gunn brought all of the cast out onto the stage, which was amazing! He also thanked his parents, which was very sweet. Then the movie started and we were off to explore the Galaxy……….
